HSAS and SAHO Inc. Reach Tentative Collective Agreement
The Health Sciences Association of Saskatchewan (HSAS) and the Saskatchewan Association of Health Organizations (SAHO Inc.) are pleased to announce that they have successfully reached a tentative six-year agreement.
“We are pleased that we were able to collaboratively reach a tentative agreement with HSAS that will recognize the contributions of these health professionals who will continue to provide important services to Saskatchewan residents,” said Kelly Miner, Interim Executive Director.
HSAS President Karen Wasylenko stated, “In spite of the uncertainties and challenges in health care at this point in time, the parties worked together to reach this tentative agreement with the view of creating greater certainty for the future of our members and for the care they provide to residents of our province.”
HSAS represents over 4000 specialized health care professionals in over 30 professions, province-wide – delivering care in acute care, long term care, primary health care, and emergency medical services.
The six-year agreement would be effective until March 31, 2024. Details will not be released until after the ratification process has been completed.
