The Reality Is: Occupational Therapy Vacancies Have Real Consequences

The Health Sciences Association of Saskatchewan launched a campaign advocating for more resources to be directed towards addressing the shortage of Occupational Therapists in Saskatchewan. “Occupational Therapists aid in the recovery from illness or injury and help people safely return to daily activities,” HSAS President Karen Schmid explains. “Unfortunately, right now there simply are not enough Occupational Therapists available to meet the needs of Saskatchewan patients, resulting in a strain on our healthcare system.” More info

2026 HSAS Annual Convention

The 2026 HSAS Annual Convention will take place on October 22 & 23, 2026 in Saskatoon at the Sheraton Cavalier Hotel. This year’s theme is “Facing The Future.” Over the two days of Convention, guests and delegates will take part in the Union’s Annual General Meeting as well as hear about a variety of topics from our keynote speakers.
