Bio:
Amy Ewart was elected to the HSAS Executive Council in 2014. Amy is the HSAS Treasurer and sits on the HSAS Communications, Executive and Finance Committees. She represents Mental Health Therapists and Recreation Therapists across Saskatchewan Healthcare. She is also part of the Autism Team at Child & Youth Services and is part of the OH&S Committee in her work place. She also acts as a trainer for the Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Program.
Amy has worked as a Program Coordinator for the Lethbridge Schizophrenia Society, a Developmental Therapist with the Autism Resource Centre, and currently as a Senior Mental Health Therapist with the Saskatchewan Health Authority – HSAS Union Region 11 (formerly the Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region) at the Child & Youth Services Autism Centre in Regina.
Amy holds a Bachelor of Community Rehabilitation degree from the University of Calgary, Early Childhood Education Program Level I certification from Lethbridge Community College as well as a Diploma in Disability Studies from Lethbridge Community College. She also completed studies in the Autism Intervention Certificate Program through the University of New Brunswick.
As a Senior Mental Health Therapist Amy is eager and proud to be able to continue working with families and individuals who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder as well as other mental health diagnoses.
Tracy Erickson

Bio:
Tracy Erickson has 22 years of front-line addictions work experience. He holds two bachelor of art degrees: one in Sociology; the other in Psychology. He currently works as the Addictions Team Clinical Lead at Yorkton Mental Health, Alcohol & Drug Services, for the Saskatchewan Health Authority (formerly the Sunrise Health Region).
Throughout his career, Tracy has acquired a broad spectrum of overall addictions specific experiences in group settings, one to one therapy, community involvement, youth, adult and families. He has observed numerous trends, applications, and practices during his career.
Tracy believes that alcohol and drug addiction services in Saskatchewan need a strong voice to maintain autonomy and independence while functioning and integrating effectively within the larger Mental Health and Addictions Services team framework.

Angela Barsalou

Bio:
Angela has actively served HSAS since November 2014 when she was first appointed (to fill a vacancy of this position) as the Executive Council representative for Respiratory Therapists, Perfusionists, Anesthesia Assistants, Midwives, Medical Lab Technicians and Biomedical Technologists. She was then elected in 2015 and re-elected in 2017, 2019, 2021, 2023 and then elected to Board of Governors in 2025.
During this time, she has chaired or been an active member on the Grievance Committee, Member Engagement Committee, 2018 and 2024 Annual Convention/AGM Committees, and 2023 Bargaining Conference Committee, Governance Committee, Strategic Planning Committee the HSAS Occupational Health and Safety Committee (current chair) and the Bargaining Committee. Additionally, she held the position of the HSAS Executive Officer positions of Secretary and the Vice President.
Since becoming active in HSAS, she has developed a broader understanding of labour relations and the benefits available to the HSAS members she represents. Angela is proactive. She listens to members and consults with HSAS Labour Relations Staff to assist them with issues relating to the workplace or the Collective Agreement. She has represented HSAS at meetings with the Saskatchewan Health Authority at the Canadian Health Professionals Secretariat (a national advocacy body representing over 100,000 health care workers across Canada) and the National Union of Public and General Employees. This has given her the opportunity to gain a nationwide perspective on the professions within our group and has broadened her knowledge of health care, not only in Saskatchewan, but also nationally.
Angela was raised in Saint John, New Brunswick where she completed her Bachelor of Science degree. After that, she attended New Brunswick Community College where she received a diploma in Respiratory Therapy.
She moved to Saskatchewan in 2007, accepting a fulltime position as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with the Saskatchewan Health Authority (formerly the Saskatoon Health Region).
With the experience she has gained, she has the ability to be a strong voice for all members of HSAS.
Travis Bolen

Bio:
Travis started his career in EMS in 2011 as a Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) working in rural Saskatchewan. After completing Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) school in 2014, Travis was hired by Regina EMS in the former Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region, becoming an HSAS member for the first time and beginning his passion for working for the betterment of all healthcare workers. In 2021, Travis joined Primary Health Care where he is presently the ACP-Coordinator for a interdisciplinary healthcare team working alongside multiple HSAS professions to provide accessible, equitable care.
Travis was first elected to HSAS Executive Council in 2019, representing Paramedics and Emergency Medical Dispatchers, where he served two consecutive two-year terms after being re-elected in 2021.
During his time on Executive Council, he served as Chair of the HSAS Occupational Health and Safety Committee for several years and spent one year on Executive Committee as Vice President of HSAS. To deepen his knowledge of unions and labour, Travis completed the Osgoode Certificate of Labour Law from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University. Also, during this time on Executive Council, Travis sat on the Saskatchewan Association of Safe Workplaces in Healthcare (SASWH) Board of Directors, where he also served time as Treasurer.
After taking some time away from HSAS to focus on his family, Travis returned to HSAS in 2025 after being nominated to proudly serve on the HSAS Board of Directors.
