Although the current collective agreement does not expire until March 31, 2018, planning has occurred for a bargaining conference and bargaining survey.
Read below for all the details, and keep an eye on this page and your email for future updates!
The conference is scheduled for May 25-26, 2017 at the Delta Bessborough in Saskatoon.
At the conference, we will:
HSAS Members are asked to register only if they are available to travel the afternoon/evening of May 24, 2017 (where necessary), and if they are available to attend all day on both May 25 & 26, 2017.
HSAS invites Members from each of the more than 30 professions we represent. As such, we have limited the number of attendees to five (5) per occupational group (i.e. five Physical Therapists, five Social Workers, etc.). If more than five entries are received for any occupational group, five names will be drawn by lottery, for that group. We are sorry that we are unable to accommodate all Members who wish to attend.
Members who are confirmed to attend the conference, but who are scheduled to work on those days will be required to request Union Leave (Article 11.10) from their employer, and HSAS will cover the members’ wages while attending the conference. HSAS will also provide reimbursement of related expenses.
The Bargaining Survey information was gathered to assist your Negotiating Committee in the development of bargaining proposals. Members were asked to represent the specific needs of their occupation(s), as well as their general needs as a member of HSAS.
Any information received through this survey, which may be used in the future for advocating on behalf of your profession and the services you provide, will be de-identified.
Future Bargaining Conference updates and notices will only be sent to HSAS Members’ personal email addresses.
If you or a fellow HSAS Member have not received email notices and updates about this event, please provide HSAS with a personal email at 306-955-3399 or 1-888-565-3399 or via email. HSAS will only use your personal email to send you important updates related to Bargaining, Market Supplement, the Collective Agreement and your Union.
We are happy to update Members’ information, at any time.
